3D Cinema is becoming more of a mainstream reality. With movies like Coraline and Toy Story 3 achieving box office success you can expect to see even more emphasis on 3D cinema and 3D animation as a form of entertainment. Achieving these 3D effects are especially challenging for post-production work.
The SD2620W uses IPS LCD monitors with good color and custom gamma settings. The 1920x1200 resolution in stereo allows a user to see an accurate representation of stereoscopic content at their desk. Passive polarized glasses and flicker-free monitors make the StereoMirror technology comfortable for long hours of use. The wide viewing angle allows collaboration among multiple users as they view excellent stereo whether standing or sitting. The SD products easily switch to a 2D monitor for those users that do not require stereo viewing full time. Stereoscopic displays can also assist with shooting 3D footage. The high quality SD monitors provide immediate feedback of stereo depth before or after a shot is captured. The StereoMirror can also be made rugged or portable with customization.
The StereoMirror has been tested to work with several applications that play 3D content including Autodesk Maya, RV from Tweak Software, Stereoscopic Player, StereoMovieMaker, and the StereoMoviePlayer. Learn more about configuring a StereoMirror for 3D video content.
